What is success? Well I guess that all depends on whom you ask. For some people success means the big house, great career, expensive cars and trips. For other it is the white picket fence, the loving supportive spouse, and healthy children. For others it is doing what they love to do for a living. Still for others success is having peace and happiness in their lives.
Whatever success means to you there is always that nagging question…why do some people achieve success while it just simply seems to elude others? There are over a billion people on the planet. Everyone comes into this world in the same way (birth) and everyone goes out the same way (death), so what makes one person achieve success and not the other. What is the secret formula?
Throughout the last 10 years I have had the wonderful privilege of doing readings for some of the most successful people (in all the different areas we have discussed above). The one thing they ALL have in common is DETERMINATION! Regardless of what successes they have achieved, they have all failed at one time or another, they have all had to revamp their dreams at some point in time and they have all had to dust themselves off and get back “on the horse” so to speak. So the secret is actually very simple…they just never gave up.
There have been many times in the last 6 years that I have thought it would be easier to just give up on my dreams. However, I always have this vision of being on the other side and it comes time for that “life review” we hear so much about. Of course, in my vision I find out that if I had just hung on one more day, week, or month….I would of achieved all my dreams. That vision or should I say the fear of that vision coming true has always given me that extra push I have needed to trudge though the tuff times. In the back of my head I am ALWAYS thinking, what if I give up now and find out later that had I stuck it out one more day I would have seen all my dreams come true! So hopefully the next time you feel like giving up on your dreams, you will remember my vision and make it your own. Hopefully, you will give it one or two or three more tries because lets face it, in the time line of your life, isn’t it worth it? I think so!
You are what you think. If you believe you will achieve. Fake it till you make it (interpretation…act like you have already achieved the success you are after). Those are just some of my favorite sayings. So in closing success isn’t just something that happens to a chosen few. Instead it is something a chosen few create because they know the secret…. and now…… so do you.
