Okay just to set the record straight….I really don’t hate the holidays.  What I do hate is that we need a special day or occassion to tell people how much we love and appreciate them!  Shouldn’t we do that on a daily basis?  Do we really need a “special day” to let people know how we feel about them?  Shouldn’t we be doing that just because?

In the 15 years I have been doing readings I can not tell you how many people I have sat with that THOUGHT there would be a plenty of time to tell someone how they felt.  Truth is we never know when “goodbye” is the last goodbye we will ever get to say.  I am not trying to be depressing.  It is just a fact of life.  Wouldn’t you live your life very differently if you knew it was your last day?  Wouldn’t the world be a much better place if we all lived today like it was our last?  Who would you call?  Who would you tell you love them to?  Who would you let know how much you appreciate them?

As we prepare for the upcoming holiday season my wish is that for just once that “holiday feeling” carries over throughout the year!  I try to make sure I tell my kids everyday I love them, I am proud of them and how much I appreciate them!  How many people don’t say what they feel?

In my own defense it is the holiday hussle and bussle, the stress, the commercials that say “the family is coming don’t you need a new carpet and new couch”…Really?  REALLY!  How about this…how about forgetting about the carpet, the furniture, the crazy amount we spend on gifts.  How about telling each and every person who has touched your life how important they are to YOU!

No ones life is perfect.  Mine certainly isn’t.  BUT I LOVE my life, my family, my kids!  I have so much to be thankful for!  I have a career I love.  Clients I absolutely adore!  And I have the knowledge that my circumstances do not effect my experiences!

So this “Holiday Season” share the gift of appreciation!  If you love someone tell them.  If someone has touched your life, let them know! Make everyday a holiday!

I thank you for being a part of mine and I greatly appreciate all of you!
